Some blocks have stepped down entries, that you only glimpse when walking around the blocks, the individual units in Block 10 have lowered green spaces that are wonderfull social interactive areas for tenants.

Parkmerced a 191.5 acre site designed by Leonard Schultze, Thomas Dolliver Church + Robert Royston. The Modern landscape & apartment community developed by Met-Life in the 1940's was to provide affordable rental housing + open space. Proposals of density + development, threaten the landscape design neglected by prior owners + shrunken by subtle sales of blocks. The integrity of the landscape design, radiates utilitarianism, simplicity, + beauty.
